Does dairy free include eggs too?

I am going dairy free to see if DS's rash is an allergy or something else.  It's going to be so hard since I eat A LOT of dairy!  Anyway do eggs need to go to?

  • Eggs are an animal product {obviously,} but they aren't dairy. Butter is though. :)

Dairy products come from cows. Eggs come from chickens. Not the same thing.

  • Nope.  Be sure you read labels, though, if you really want to cut dairy out.  Processed foods that you wouldn't expect (some breads, for example) have whey or casein in them, both of which are milk proteins.

  • I had to cut out eggs. We had my DD allergy tested. It's worth doing the testing so you know to proceed with caution when introducing the solids
