  • Thank you.

    Here's mine:

I don't think small kids should walk to school/the bus alone. You should be able to drop your kid off at school or the school bus. I don't think being to work on time is worth the risk of losing your child

  • I hear ya' - but now a days even dropping them off at school or at the bus stop is not a guarantee of their safety.  Just sayin'

I  totally agree. But I feel like one is a passive risk and one is an active risk

Absolutely.  It's scary and such a shame when we think back to when we were kids and how different our world is today.

  • I used to not only walk to the bus stop, but I also stayed home by myself and left by myself. When I got off the bus, I would come home and my older bro and I would be alone for roughly 2 hours.

This started in second grade (my bro in 5th) when my parents were gone for work from 6:30a-5:30p and couldn't afford a babysitter. We also spent our summers by ourselves or at a friend's house.

Now, I would not let my 8yo alone for longer than it takes me to walk to the end of the driveway.

Things were WAY different back then though. I mean you're probably between 25-32. I can't imagine what life will be like for our children. Its SCARY. I honestly hope that the world changes for the better.
