Update:  I don't think that I am on the list anymore, can you add me back in?  I am currently in the 2ww for IVF #2, but I tested yesterday (6dp5dt) and today (with a digital) and both were positive.  My beta isn't until 8/9.

 

QOTD:  (Assuming no service for my iPhone) I would want a Kindle (or some other eReader) that was filled with books, a generator so that I could charge the Kindle, and a deck of cards to play games with the other people who I would hopefully be stranded with.

QOTD: I'm torn between several things.  Something to make water safe to drink, a big knife, and ??  I think I'll check with my DH (who watches all those survival shows) to see what he recommends.

Update: I went RE yesterday for a checkup.  My ovaries are still a little large, but nothing crazy.  They took blood and all levels (Progesterone, Estrogen, etc.) were good.  Unfortunately, they said it was too soon to do a pregnancy test.  They wanted to schedule my beta for next Tues 8/10, but I have to go out of town for work Sunday afternoon 8/8 and won't be home until late Thurs night 8/12.... so they said to keep up the PIO shots and come in Friday the 13th for my beta since they said this coming weekend would be too soon.   I had everything all worked out perfectly for my work schedule when my ER, ET, and beta was supposed to be, but due to the cyst, I was delayed a bit.  

As if the wait isn't long enough, now I have to wait longer.... ugh.  I'm contemplating whether to do a HPT beforehand, but can't decide.  I haven't tested out my trigger so I don't know if it's still in there... maybe I'll POAS tomorrow to see if the trigger is gone, and then cave and try Sunday morning with DH.  Otherwise, I'll probably wait until Friday the 13th since if I did it out of town, I don't think I'd be able to concentrate on work that day.

QOTD:  I would want a bunch of books, some sunscreen and a razor (I'm ocd about shaving...lol).  I'm sure survival stuff would be more practical but at least I can relax and get a tan while I wait for rescue.

Update:  I went to acupuncture yesterday and will be going regularly now.  I have a second opinion appointment next Thursday the 12th.  I'm also going to look into a fertility diet.  I feel like I want to do everything I can to try to get a BFP before I have to shell out $25,000 for IVF again.

Update:  I am about to start stims hopefully Thursday!  I have my Lupron Eval tomorrow morning at 7 AM.  I am so ready to do this-not looking forward to dealing with the drives down to the clinic, but my last day of summer school is Thursday!  So all I have to focus on is my IVF cycle! (not sure if this is good or bad? haha)

Suggestion for QOTD:  What alternative therapies are you using? (massage, acupuncture, diet, vitamins, etc)

QOTD:  Mine all involve internet access!  My kindle, my laptop and my cell phone.

Update:  I'm in the 2ww of my FET.  We transferred one embryo last Thursday.  Beta is 8/9.  I'm not feeling very hopeful.  Even though I'm only the equivalent of 8dpo, I don't feel ANYTHING different.  (except for some bloating from the progesterone)

Update: we have 18 embies currently and I'm waiting somewhat patiently for my daily call. Ill find out if we are doing a 4 or 5dt today. Last time my embies starting looking funny by the third day so I'm really nervous. Praying that it will be like IVF #1 when I had beautiful embies. So nervous!!

Update: Well the IVF was converted to an IUI, and can I say how much I LOVE this RE's way of doing things? I got the trigger on Sunday morning, they did an ultrasound on Monday before the IUI and I had not ovulated yet but my biggest was 28mm (looked HUGE). We did the IUI and the nurse was awesome! I didn't feel a thing - my cervix hides so it takes a bit to get the cathader in there. We went back this morning for another IUI, they checked to make sure I ovulated and all the big guys on both ovaries were gone. So off for another IUI. This nurse was still wonderful but I had been feeling a little crampy in the morning so this made it a little worse - but not bad at all!  And DH is a rockstar - 39 million motile yesterday and 37 million motile today. Even the nurse was impressed! Progesterone draw will be on the 10th - I'm be doing PIO shots daily.

QOTD: Water, books and lotion/chapstick - I have dry skin and it makes me irritable! All the sun, sand and water will be awful!

 My updates is that I am still recovering for the ectopic and on a break until cycling returns to normal.  WHich means my first IVF around October/ early November?  I am also looking into changing RE's.  My current thought is that we will change to Advanced fertility in IL.

Update on me!  I actually changed my Nestie ID and am now posting under another ID because... I finally got my BFP on July 26 and my employer is NOSY and I don't want them snooping on me.

I guess I dont really belong in this check in anymore. After finding out my insurance is only going to cover 50% of IVF our cycle is being put on hold. DH and I need to go over finances and get a second opinion. I am actually hoping that maybe we will go back to IUIs.

Update: anxiously awaiting my beta on 8/6. Scared but hopeful. I haven't POAS but thinking about it. QOTW: I would bring a laptop downloaded with plenty of movies and books (I get bored easily), plenty of water, and sunscreen since I burn thinking about the sun.
