But my boss gave me a pink lemonade cupcake from the local bakery for my birthday this afternoon (I hadn't seen her in almost 2 weeks).  Like an idiot I left it in the car when I got home.

They are expensive, but so worth it.

I want to try to figure out how to make them at home because they only make them in the summer.  They do pink lemonade flavored cake and lemon flavored icing.  My mouth waters just thinking about them.

They're the kid's favorite.  She'd love me forever and ever if I surprised her with pink lemonade cupcakes in the middle of winter.

Hmmm. I make a kick ass lemon pound cake with meyer lemons. I wonder if you dyed the batter pink and baked it in cupcake pans if it would come close...it would certainly be lemony, even if not pink lemonade-y.

I think I'm going to experiment with white cake mix and pink lemonade concentrate.  I wonder if the thawed concentrate would be enough liquid that I wouldn't have to add anything else to the batter.

Local Bakery's PL cupcakes are yummy, but they leave a lot to be desired in the moistness factor.  Maybe I can start a revolution.  Moist cake!

I hate that about this cupcake trend. That is why I like pound cake. Mmmmmm. I'm going to have to get my mom to mail me some of her meyer lemons now.

I've never understood why all these bakery cupcakes are so dry.  When I make cupcakes at home they are so moist and yummy.  It's almost worth heating my house in the middle of summer to get some decent cupcakes.
