I am 40 years old... Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in the public schools.  My DH is 43 (today!) and an (industrial) engineer... but I really do not know what his job is!  ;)

We have a 19 year old kitty, Ed (I inherited him from DH when we got married) and 6 year old chocolate lab, Murphy (DH inherited him from me).

My interesting tidbit is that I am training for my 3rd half marathon. At the conclusion of my first half marathon, DH proposed to me at the finish line, at the second (my first Nike Women's Half) I received a Tiffany's necklace from a SF firefighter wearing a tux.  I am running this year's Nike for my 2nd Tiffany's necklace.  This girl runs for JEWELRY!!!!

Welcome to the new ladies and returning ladies.....

Hi all!  It's Pix.  citypixie.  I'm pretty new here.

I'm 41 and DH will be in Aug.  We are your basic office-going yuppies I guess.

We have a big, hairy golden retriever.  He's our second.

Tidbit: We restored our historic home.  I'm a real handywoman!  I just need to get my own show on HGTV.

I'm going for the heavy stuff today since I'm waiting for a progesterone- induced AF delay.  I need a shot. On second thought, better make it a Bloody Mary!  Ha! Oh that was gross!  Happy Friday everyone!!!!

I am 36 years old and I am a Designer for a new homes builder. (And I actually still have a job considering the crappy housing market!!)

My hubby is 38 and he is a high school history teacher and basketball coach.

Our oldest is an 8 year old kitty named Horey (Robert); then we rescued George (Devon) a 5 year old cat, and our Nebolish Mastiff doggie is Fisher (Derek) (Can you tell my hubby is a Laker fan? I figure if he gets it out of the way on the pets my kids will be OK!!!)

The most interesting tidbit is my great, great grandpa taught Teddy Roosevelt how to box.  Before he was president.  I actually have a telegram from the White House that was addressed to him and signed by TR!!

I was too busy looking at all the people cheering that I tripped and fell across the finish line (my most embarrassing moment EVER). The ironic thing was that I was wearing a shirt that said "If found on ground, please drag across finish line). Think I jinxed myself? I'm training for another on in November, then one in January, to make up for it.

Interesting tidbit: Well, i guess my career has been interesting, I've have interviewed everyone from murderers to famous senators, but the stories that have been shared with me and I am most proud of are the regular folk who have some infinite wisdom or inspirational emotion, like the seemingly tough biker guy that saw his buddies name etched into the traveling Vietnam wall for the first time and broke down and cried and told his story for the first time ever to me.
