roseola? high fever for a few days and when the bumpy rash appears on the trunk, the fever breaks. The rash doesn't itch or bother the child and they are no longer contagious at that point.
Both of my kids had it around the same age at 9-10 months old. It started off with them being incredibly fussy with a high temp. As soon as the temp went down, the rash started showing all over their body.

if this is what you're talking about, DS is getting over it right now. There was no puking involved.
I work in a children's hospital and there have been a ton of stomach viruses lately. I actually work in pediatric derm so I know Roseola very well b/c of the rash, and like the girls said, it is not associated with puking.

Maybe she only threw up because her fever was so high. It was 104. Today same thing, but didnt throw up. I got her temp down with bath and cool washcloth. The poor thing cant even move right now. Does the fever only seem to start late afternoon?

Fevers and even normal body temperatures increase in the afternoon and at night. Just make sure you are putting her in lukewarm water, not cold:)
DS is going through this right now. He had two days of high fever (almost 103). It then dropped to nothing and the next day the rash showed up. He has been very fussy, not eating much. He has been sleeping a lot more during the day. Other than that, no other real side effects like vomiting, etc. He did have some pretty nasty diapers the day the rash showed up.
