Hi ladies -
I very rarely, if ever post over here -- normally on the infertility board. But I thought maybe some of you ladies would have some insight.
I have been doing acupuncture for a couple of years now. I had my egg transfer this past Sunday (3 day transfer of three 8 celled embryos with the highest grading). We were not expecting the embryos to advance like that because we started out with two 2 celled and one 4 celled on Saturday and then overnight they turned into 8 cells. I had acupuncture before transfer and after transfer.
My question - how important is it to get acupuncture during the two week wait? My acupuncturist is pretty booked up in the next week or so, so I am trying to figure out if I should just wait and see if she has an opening or if I should go to another acupuncturist that I know of.
Thanks ladies!
Re: Acupuncture during 2ww
My acupuncturist wanted to see me during the 2ww -- I think it was about 3 days after the 3dt. He only treats infertility/pregnant patients and believes that session can help with implantation.
Good luck during your 2ww!!
This goes for me too, along with before and after transfer. My acupuncturist was pretty adament about me going during the 2ww and she made sure to fit me in. She also mainly treats infertility patients. I would think finding another acu would be a pain. There is no way that your current can squeeze you in?
I also wen to acupuncture during the 2ww. For this cycle I went once a week normally. Then I added the day before ER, before and after ET. During the 2ww I was back to once a week.
I don't know if I would go to an acupuncturist who I had never seen during the 2ww though. I've been working with the same acupuncturist for years, and I really trust him.
Good luck hon!
