Headbands

I was going to buy some headbands today on etsy and found that it's not as simple as I thought. Can you help me to figure this out?

Do I want the flowers on alligator clips or snap clips?

Does size really matter? Aren't these bands elastic enough to fit several head sizes?

 Also, how wide should the headbands be to be able to use interchangeable flowers and bows?
