As long as you can receive email there, I think it should - they do send a confirmation to the .edu email address to link it to your account.

DizzyBlonde is correct.  As long as you can access the email.  All they care is that it ends in edu.  I actually just got Prime to purchase a text book b/c it is free for 1 month and love it.  You get your products in 2 days and pay no shipping.
