Persistent soft stools?

We're heading into the doc's office today, but just curious if anybody else has been though this before.  DS has had pretty loose stools for over 2 weeks now.  Then he got sick on Wednesday (puked for 1st time and diarrhea), but I think it's unrelated since a couple other kids had it within 48 hours of each other.  Anyways, anybody's LO have diarrhea for that long?  Did you figure out what it was?

I honestly didn't think too much of it right away b/c he's been acting fine until this week, plenty of wet diapers, eating pretty normal, etc.  Then DH and I discussed it and we can't remember his last solid stool.  Topped off with him getting sick this week we're definitely due to see the ped.

Obviously I will bring in a dirty diaper, do you think they will do a blood draw too?

How old is your LO? This happened due to problems with milk for my LO, then irritated her system and allowed her to develop c. diff.

  • He's 20 mo. and hasn't had a problem w. milk up until now, but it did cross my mind.  Can it develop this late?  He was introduced to whole milk at 12 mos.
