Jackie, did you just see the monkey nursery for twin boys on the multiples board. So stinking cute and its exactly the theme you wanted right? Maybe you could use that for inspiration.

Oh I had to mention to you that my mom reserved a clubhouse for our baby shower. She put down the deposit. I'm so excited that the last minute stress of where to go or if the date is available, will no longer become a concern. It will cost her a bit but they give us plenty of time, tons of tables and chairs and it holds 90 ppl, so I'm a happy camper. Just had to share with you. I know you understand my dilema but I'm also glad that you managed to work everything out as well with your party.

Glad you were able to find a location and date already, so jealous.  We are still up in the air.  This past wkend we went to a party at a rest in Brickell, and it was perfect!  However, after speaking w/ the caterer, they MAY be under renovations for the date I want.  She is suppose to get back to me this week.  Hope it works out b/c the price was right, and the view is gorgeous.

Well what happend is that since I get it at resident rate and they currently have summer camp held there, they don't start booking until Sept and people are already reserving dates. When we passed by the office, they had 2 checks and paper work just booked that same day. Thank goodness they had our date though, so my mother said let me put the deposit to have it on hold and I'll pay the rest later on. That is the only reason it is booked already. You know how I feel about early purchases but I feel good about the deposit being refundable within 60 days of signing.

To be honest I thought you had all your baby shower plans worked out. I'm so sorry, total misunderstanding. Well I really hope this restaurant works out well for you. I will be crossing my fingers.

If I were you, I would have reserved the location too, and like you said, it is refundable if you decide on someplace else.  Better be safe than sorry. 

I'm actually going to call the lady now at lunchtime to see what's up!  Thanks for the reminder.

They are closed for renovations until October! 

Back to square one.  This is so frusterating.

Oh noooooo! Did you try perricones, los ranchos or even Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine? I know they have private room areas for parties at an affordable price. I'm so sorry Jackie.
