Bachelorette Party. (See OP like 2 days ago about a good friend having a destination wedding & then doing a big wedding 2 years later with bridal shower, etc.)
Got a FB save the date for a downtown Chi Bachlorette Party. Which, if the plan is we bar hop, will be expensive! Even if you don't have a single drink, the cover charges alone will be a week's grocery bill at least. She has been married for almost 2 years!!!!
I never got a real bachlorette party, maybe I should throw a "I am not getting any at home and never got my last hurrah so join me for a night out on the town remembering my single days" party. Anyone else want to come ;o)
Re: For real, now I got an invite for her...
Oy.
If she wants to go out with the girls, just go out with the girls. But don't call it a bachelorette party.
Please tell me she's not hosting her own party as well.
I'll come!!!! haha I'm in the same boat honey.
Just decline-
I have a friend who is the SAME exact way- as your situation- the wedding, the shower, the bachelorette party and NOW her baby shower (that she threw for herself, at her house, sent an e-vite, made it BYOB AND bring an appetizer--- oh and btw- it is 'my' birthday too) I was like, umm yeah- i have something going on that day- have fun.
Wow- same thing just happened to me.
Has everyone lost their sense of etiquette?
W.o.w. And everyone around her is just going along with all of this? Hell, I'm all for a good party now and then but if this was my sister or good friend we'd be having a "Are-you-out-of-your-mind?!" talk like yesterday. Like you said, she HAD her wedding already. There is a big difference between a vow renewal and taking advantage of your family/friends. I'd probably just tell her you can only make the ceremony and it'll be that way the 3rd time she pulls this crap. Yikes.
