Re: If you have the Ergo carrier come in

  • We have an Ergo and an infant insert.  We could not get the infant insert to work for us at all - it was very awkward and didn't seem comfy for DD.  So we used the Moby exclusively until DD could fit in the Ergo without the insert, which wasn't until about four months for us.  I've heard a lot of similar stories and have come to the conclusion that the insert isn't worth the money, but maybe someone here has had a better experience.

  • We used a big fluffy blanket instead of the insert, just to support him a bit. He didn't need the blanket anymore by 2 months, ~15 lbs.

lilrhody I will try your trick because  the insert will most likely be too hot here in sunny FLA.

  • I never used the infant insert. I used a 30x40 fleece baby blanket. Now Brynn doesnt need one.

  • I use the infant insert... but on warm days, we typically don't go out in the Ergo. The booklet says 4-5 months or until baby has good head control.

This. It works perfect but since it's too hot right now we have been using the Didymos wrap instead of the Ergo. I think the insert would be too hot anyways.
