Now that Astroworld is closed...

What do you ladies do for fun/amusement with your kids? I know that Houston has an awesome zoo and some cool museums but what else is there? I wish Astroworld was still open. Crying There's a FunPlex but I haven't been there in...15 years(?) so I don't even know if it's still around. I guess I'm just stressing out because I don't know exactly how to amuse a kid when they get older besides a park or going to the mall or something. Any ideas?

    There's still Splashtown. They have great summer deals (if you can stand the heat and the crowd).

     I was just thinking for in the future in all honesty. I haven't even had the baby yet and I'm already stressing about where to take him for outings when he gets older. Embarrassed It's mainly because I can never find things to amuse myself with in this city.

    Yes, if you're just looking for future stuff, the park out in New Caney is still in the works.  I think the concept has been changed since that article was written, but it should be a big theme park with lots of stuff to do.
