Ok, this sounds stupid but humor me i'm new

I have been reading posts and I would like to add my comment as well and I thought you just had to reply to whoever made the post, but I have tried this and it doesn't seem to work. I go back and look at the whole page and what I thought I wrote isn't there. so what do I do?

it doesn't have to be to who made the post, just click the reply button at the bottom of anyone who has been part of the post and then type in your comment. Maybe you're not clicking the post button? try replying to this and see what happens

I just thought of this too, you maybe need to refresh the page to see your post, it sometimes takes a minute

I have to in order to see my post after clicking the post button.
