So, the dishes I was going to order were recalled for lead...

Is nothing safe anymore? Pfaltzgraff always advertised themself as an American company with quality products. Now I found out that they've started having their dishes made in China (which they do NOT disclose on their website), which has led to their dishes being recalled for having lead paint. I swear I'm going to start eating off of paper plates!

  • Yep, you're right. NOTHING is safe anymore.  I wish I could move into the woods and live off the earth.
  • we have pfaltzgraff dishes and I wish I had gotten something else.  They are super heavy, chip easily, and take up SO much room in the cabinet!

By chance are they the Napoli pattern? I looked at these, but they got bad reviews stating just exactly what you said. I currently have Pfaltzgraff dishes and haven't had a problem, but the lead thing scares me. I think I'm going to end up with Fiestaware... even though I'm not that fond of them.

  • No way!  That's nuts.  Good thing you found out about it now, huh?

    Ugh..the search continues...
