Second... I absolutely ADORE the name Evangeline, & the nn Evie as well! And it goes so well with Giada! You have amazing taste in names!
I love Evangeline/Evie! Violet is nms, but the two names sound great together!
ETA: Oh and I have to ask after seeing a post on here that really surprised me, are you pronouncing Evie as eh-vee or ee-vee?

That is how I would pronounce that nn, but I was surprised to hear that many say ee-vee.

I had to LOL though when I heard Evie and thought of that old TV show, "Out of This World." Did anyone watch that?
I'm so glad you were able to come up with something you love! It sounds absolutely perfect and like I said before, Evangeline goes great with Giada.
(And guess what: I knew we had similar taste in names; BOTH Evangeline and Violet are on my short list, but not together)
PS (to Heidisean and <3my2boys): It surprises me that y'all are pronouncing Evie as Eh-vee, since Evangeline has the EE sound (at least when I pronounce it). I do, however pronounce it as Eh-vee when it's short for Evelyn, since it has a EH sound.

My husband took me to see "The Princess and the Frog" the day before we found out that our twins were both girls and I rallied hard for the name Evangeline. Violet was always our set name for a girl, but I lost out to him and our other DD is now Audrey. Beautiful names - I get many, many compliments on the name Violet for DD
