got a call around 5 that birthmom is having contractions and went to the hospital to get checked out. they gave her a shot to try to stop contractions since she is not due till  8/8 so now we sit and wait for a call form her as to if she is having this baby or not and we have to decide when to leave for florida i want to leave right now hubby wants to wait for the update call to see if they stop her contractions or not. if they did stop them will it stop them for weeks or days? i have no idea waiting on pins and needles forr the report form her grrrr

Oh, that's so hard to wait!  I hope you get the update really soon so you know what's going on -- let us know!

It may or may not stop the contractions and it's not possible to know if it will be for hours, days or weeks.  Generally, once she reaches 37 weeks they won't stop the contractions anymore.
