Parenting after a Loss

Update on my tailbone

Yep, I fractured my tailbone during childbirth.  Also tore the muscles on either side of it, and nope, there's nothing they can do.  I have to sit on a pillow and hopefully it will heal in 6 months.  Luckily, I did not completely break it; that might require surgery.

So, I guess I'll get to tell LO he really WAS a pain in my butt when he gets older!

  • If I have another vaginal birth, I'll probably break it again.  :(  I'll have the option of a c/s next time, which I already have because of my IBD.

I still think I would do it again - while this is annoying and certainly uncomfortable, I really enjoyed giving birth to David, being able to hold him right after birth, etc.  I was one of those lucky chicks who actually had an orgasm during delivery and honestly, this tailbone thing is a price I'm willing to pay to do it again!  LOL
