I'm hoping that someone can relate... I'm 33 yrs old, I was on bc for 10 years. I took my last bcp on Jan. 29th, had my "period" or withdrawal bleeding on Feb. 3rd for 4 days. My husband and I started having unprotected sex all through the rest of February (11th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 19th and 22nd (twice both days), 25th, 26th, March 2nd, 4th and 5th) On March 3rd, I started having symptoms: nausea in the mornings, bloating, cramping. It's now March 12th, no period at all, 2 Negative Pregancy tests, one last week and one a couple of days ago. Could I be pregnant and it's too early to test positive yet or are these just coming off the pill symptoms? Thanks in advance for your reply!!
I was convinced I was pregnant the cycle I came off the pill. Even though we were pulling out. If the test isn't positive, you're not pregnant at this time. Keep testing once a week until you get a positive or your period. You may want to look into tracking ovulation with basal body temp in the future. It sounds like you probably ovulated later than normal.

Coming off the pill can make your cycle off for awhile. You are just coming off the pill and are feeling different sensations than you would have while on it. Now that you are TTC you are also hyperaware of every sensation. Those sound like PMS symptoms to me, but I also get Nausea pre ovulation as well. The only thing that separates PMS symptoms and pregnancy symptoms is a positive test. A negative test means "Not pregnant at this time."
FFS if you are pregnant enough to have symptoms you are pregnant enough to turn a test. POAS-science is much better at figuring these things out than a bunch of psychic women on the internet.

All of this. I experienced the same thing you are and had a shit ton of symptoms when I went off the pill. I've never been pregnant. Try not to look into every symptom, you'll drive yourself crazy.
Some of the ladies already gave you good advice, but I will agree that after I came off the pill at 29 (had been on ortho low for 12 yrs) my periods weren't normal for a year. Once you start ttc you will become hyper aware of all the little twinges your body goes through. With that being said your body may regulate quickly and you could get pregnant within a few months after coming off the pill, pr it could take some time. Good luck
If your pregnant enough for symptoms your pregnant enough to turn a test. If the test shows as negative then you are not pregnant at this time. Sorry.
As everyone else said I would read the newbie blog and also start temping. A lot of us find fertility friend to be helpful. I would sign up with that and start temping.
Me: 30 DH 28
TTC since March 2013
DH, SA normal count, slow swimmers
NTNP as of 7/1/14
Back to TTC as of 8/2014
1st RE appointment October 2014, everything looks good both of us healthy and normal
Are you temping, using OPKs or any other method to confirm O or just having sex every day/every other day for the hell of it?
It sounds like you've had a couple of negative tests, soooooooo........follow the directions that everyone else has given you. Sign up for FF, buy some OPKs and a BBT thermometer and let us know how that goes for you.
Son: Jackson, 11/02/06, stillborn due to PPROM and IUGR. Over the next ten years we had 9 miscarriages from 8-14 weeks. On May 18, 2016 my daughter, Ridley, was born. We're OADNBC.
A+ for your ability to remember the days you had sex, F for not educating yourself on your own body, cycle and fertility.

I stopped taking BC in January. for the past 2 months everything has been normal, and now it's not. I feel like every twinge/cramp/bloat/tear is because I am pregnant. However, the tests keep saying no. I hate to break it to you, but until the test says yes, you are not pregnant or "pregnant enough". Temp, check out FF, and good luck!
I stopped taking BC pills last April and my cycles are still wonky. I have had every single symptom in the book and managed to convince myself that I am totally going to get a BFP that month. I have yet to get a single one.
It may take some time so give your body a chance to get back into it's "normal" routine. 10 years is a long time and there might be an adjustment period. Best of luck and be sure to check out the newbie blog, lots of good info like the others have said. Good luck!
Trying to have baby #1 since April 2013
DH SA March,May 2014 - Low motility and shape issues. On vitamins per RE to help
Me testing April 3, 2014 - FSH and LH good, HSG showed blocked right tube
April 29, 2014 - First RE appt., right tube needs to be removed and possibly left also if
it's bad too. RE suggests going straight to IVF
June 4, 2014 - LAP/HSC and unexpected endo. removed but tubes got to stay!
June 13, 2014 - Post-Op appointment. We decide where to go next since main issue
is MFI influenced. Trying naturally until decision... Repeat SA in September. Aiming for IUI #1 November 2014.
F for not educating yourself on your own body, cycle and fertility.
This seems kind of poopy to say (even for me).
I bet very few people knew jack shit about temping, timing and lots more about TTC before they came here, except knowing their husbands should finish inside them for the best chances.
Not a single woman I know IRL know anything about temping, timing, CM, nothing. I didn't know too much about it either before I came here. I think the only reason why I had a grasp is because we had hit the year mark before I joined and I had started looking into things more.
If I ever have a daughter, I will definitely be making sure she knows all about this when the time comes.
Thanks to all of you that wrote the helpful, positive comments.
Yes I misspelled pregnant, oops! Typed too fast!
I forgot to mention that I did try ovulation prediction strips, but I should have done my research. I quit using them half way through the month because I thought they weren't working right. Turns out, they were, so I stupidly don't know if I actually ovulated or not.
LOL, yes, looking back on it, that was a lot of sex. We were on vacation though and had a lot more time for it. That is not our normal sex life... Anyway, thanks for the advice! It's nice to know there are other women going through the same thing and are here to listen

Totally agree- Last month was my first cycle off BC and I noticed all those symptoms and more and then the period didn't come and I was all "OMG I must be Preg!" but no.....turns out 1st month off BC can just mess with your body. I had a 42 day cycle instead of the 29 day I was used to, and clearly ovulated late.
Hopefully your cycle will get back to normal soon if that's the issue.

Yes! Most people flip out on our responses to these type of posts, so bravo! We like rational people here, so if this isn't your month, stick around. Just to be clear, OPKs do not confirm ovulation, they only can help in predicting O. Temping confirms ovulation. Definitely check out the newbie blog, there's so much good info there. GL!
