DD got one shot and one oral on the even months and 1 shot on the odd. the odd months we just saw the nurse to get the shot--took 5 minutes.
most importantly DD is getting all of her vaccines, and we have been able to watch for any side effects. and i believe if the pedi is going to offer to space it out than why not, she doesn't need to get more than 1 shot at a time. and she has not had any reactions at all.
and we are waiting for the HEP B because she doesn't go to day care.

Our rationale is also to watch for reactions. We started Hep B late (1 mo rather than delivery). And we're delaying Polio until around 9 or 10 months when there's nothing else on the schedule.
We are very pleased. Our pedi is fine with it (she was a bit skeptical at first but has really come around to it).

I wanted to do that with the polio and the nurse at my pedi's office said not to because if our country ever goes to war and germ warfare is used than that would be one of the viruses that another country would use against us. WHAT? Did i miss something?
Re: Dr. Sears' alternative vaccination schedule?
we are doing spaced out vaccines:
months 2, 4,6: DTaP, Pent, rotavirus
months 3,5: PCV7

We're doing a very similar thing.
Months 2, 4, 6 - DTaP and Rotavirus
Months 3, 5, 7 - PCV and HIB
