Feeling let down

Yesterday was my due date and my in-laws didn't acknowledge it at all. I feel so bad for my Husband. I know it has to hurt him, but I don't want to bring it up with him. My parents have been so supportive. At least we have that. And all of the support from my girls on here.... the more I think about it, the more it hurts me, too. *sigh*

**added: I guess I should say that they didn't call to check-in or anything. My parents called to check in and even had pizza sent to our house for Dinner so we wouldn't have to worry about it. Nothing like ordering a pizza from TN to IL.

It must of been so hard on you yesterday - my due date is in July and I am dreading it - I am so sorry your in laws did not aknowledge it - I really think that after the initial shock of it all people tend to forget about it very quickly - which is sad but I think it is true - even though we know it stays with us and we will never forget our babies.  HUGS to you.

So few people properly know how to acknowledge pre-term or full term infant loss, but it must be especially hurtful when it is family.

I am so sorry.    I am not trying to make excuses for them but maybe they were afraid if they talked about it, it would cause you even more pain.  Some people have a really tough time handling grief, especially other people's grief.  But I am sorry you felt so let down by this.  We all love you.

I'm so sorry, sweetie.  It's a good thing your husband has you and your parents.  His parents are living in their own world and should have done something for you two to acknowledge the grandchild they have lost.  I have no words to express what you're going through but I hope you know you've got us to lean on and I can only offer some ((((hugs))))).

((hugs)) I wish I had a good excuse for them sweetie, but I don't. Like pp said some people have a hard time with grief, especially when its someone else's grief. Im glad your parents were there for you and remember we are all here for you too!!
