What does your LO generally eat for breakfast? How many different things do you offer LO at a sitting? I usually have to give DD 4-5 different things otherwise she eats like a bird. Also, do you give them a drink with their meal? Milk or OJ? DD is on Enfagrow to add extra calories to her diet. Sometimes she fills up on that and doesn't want to eat much as well. I'm just looking for ideas for some variety. I feel like I buy so many different things every time I go to the grocery store. Just looking for what others do. Thanks!
Re: Breakfast questions for LO.
His usual breakfast items are: waffles with applesauce, toast or mini bagels with cream cheese, Cheerios, yogurt and/or fruit. I always give him a sippy of milk with breakfast too. We don't do juice.
Sometimes he'll drink his milk right away when he wakes up and then won't eat the rest of his breakfast so we wait on the food until a half hour or so later.
I usually don't offer a drink until she is at least half way done her meal. She gets milk first thing in the morning and then about an hour later breakfast (depending on when she wakes up). Some mornings I'll give her some kix's or cheerios in a bowl to snack on before breakfast or dropping her off at daycare.
When introducing something new to her, I know she is only going to eat a few bites of it so I always give her something I know she is going to eat. During the week she gets yogurt & banana or turkey sausage & banana for breakfast. On the weekends, I'll make her an egg and some ham or cheese.
Today I gave her a bagelful and banana.
omg...so cute!
