Med costs?

Just got my tentative schedule for my Aug/Sept IVF cycle and it lists the meds i will be on.  I am just curious what others who have been on these meds paid for them.  Here's what it looks like i will be on:

Lupron - about 125 units total (5-10 units a day)

Menopur - 3 vials total

Follistim - 975 units total (varies from day to day)

HSG

 I think i have some med coverage - just need to see if these ones are actually covered by insurance (fingers crossed they are!!) - going to try calling on Monday, but i was just curious what others have paid and whether it was all OOP or insurance coverage?

Freedomfertility.com has all the cash prices for the meds.  I don't know the insurance prices, but it should give you an idea of what the max out of pocket would be!

My insurance company does not cover fertility drugs (boooo) and I have had to pay oop for my meds.  I have found that some of the drug manufactures offer coupons/rebates.  I would check online and see if any of the manufactures offer help.

I was OOP for meds and paid $3500. That included the Lupron 2 week kit, Follistim, HCG, Valium, Doxycycline, Prometrium, and Vivelle.

I don't remember the specific cost of the Lupron, but the Follistim was $808 for each vial of 950 units.  I needed 4 of those!  I only had to pay for 3 since AimeeL was kind enough to donate to OOPMeds.

I had $12,000 of IF med coverage, which I used completely with my first 2 attempts.

My cycles are very high dosages and were about $7,000 each cycle in meds.

I took about 4500 IU Follistim during my second cycle and 3300 IU Follistim and 3300 IU Menopur in total for my first cycle.  So much higher amounts than you.

The Follistim and Menopur were my most expensive meds.
