Re: pls recommend your Inexpensive, Portable/Umbrella Stroller!

  • My mom bought us one from Sears... no frills and $20.
  • Loading the player...
  • We got ours at Target fro $10 on sale.  It doesnt have a canopy, which I wish it did, but it does the job and DS just wears a hat.

  • Are you tall?  Most cheap umbrella strollers are not tall enough for tall people.  I am 5'7" and the cheapy ones have handles that are too low for me.  I have to bend down slightly to push them, and its a pain, literally.  DH is 6'3" and there is no way he will use one.  Our lightweight stroller is a Maclaren Volo, which is comfortable for both of us.  We got it off GILT for $85, but I've seen them online for just a little more.  It was worth the price for us...I love the thing.

I'd head over to amazon and sort the lightweight strollers by price and see if anything strikes your fancy.  Most strollers have several reviews on amazon.

  • We got a kolcraft contours for about 60 at sears. It has a nice canopy and large basket but is light and folds up pretty nicely. I didn't want to spend w ridiculous amount.
  • We got an Especially for Baby one at BRU for $29.99.  It has a canopy and DD loves it.  I guess it is a little short but both my husband and I use it w/ no problem. (I'm 5'6" and he's 6'0")
