every twinge and cramp...

Ever since they told me that they wouldn't stop labor if it started I've been totally overanalyzing every sensation my body is putting out! I still don't know for sure if I've had any contractions, BH or otherwise. My belly feels tight pretty much all of the time. But sometimes I feel crampy so I'm wondering if those have anything to do with contractions.

that plus the snail trail... every time I feel something leaking out I wonder if it's normal discharge or my water starting to break haha.

Let's just say it's going to be a long 5-7 weeks of analyzing everything my body is doing!

  • I am right there with you Morgan.  Since I didn't feel any contractions until I was already 10cm, my midwife really wants me paying attention to every movement and tightening of my belly.  This is not fun.  I have a feeling that I am not going to know again that I am in labor until the last minute.

  • I hear ya!  I'm kind of on the opposite side of this though.  I keep telling myself that all of these little things as nothing and I'll know when it's go time.  I'm strangely excited to get to the actual labor part, so I'm really trying not to get ahead of myself.

  • I went through the SAME EXACT thing. I got very crampy those last few weeks. I think I totally overanalyzed myself and even tricked myself into getting the Big D and thinking I was ready to go into labor.

Those last few weeks are torture!

  • I was the opposite...I thought I would KNOW when it was labor (since it's what everyone always says) and by the time i got to the hospital I was 8cm.  If it hadn't been for DH who didn't think it was just back pain, I might have had LO at home.
  • It could be the baby moving, adjusting himself/herself

The baby is definitely very busy in there but that is the most recognizable of all of these sensations. It's the ones that are NOT the baby moving that set me off :) Mostly cramping below my bump in the pubic area.

This and extreme pressure when walking.

  • I am totally doing the same thing.
