Baby Names

MN ? AGAIN sorry

So I think I may have made some progress in getting DH to agree to Lauren:)  BUT when I suggested using my sisters middle name for LO's mn since we will likely ask my brother to be the godfather of the next baby(already have godparents chosen for this one) and wouldnt also be asking my sister he got a tad pissed.  He said he doesnt understand why its ok to use my sister mn for our daughter but not his grandmothers like he suggested(again his grandma is someone he never once met in fact she had been passed for a good 15 years before he was born and he has a step grandma thats been around his whole life).  He says we need to "discuss" this.  Only reason I suggested my sisters mn was because he seemed dead set on a family mn and I wasnt fond of using a relative who we never met mn.  PLUS as i said before his mom has been overly pushy about it.

SOOOO is there any name that you ladies can think of thats  a combo Of Emily and Mae(my grandma's mn)  I am just forgetting the idea of my sister mn and if we are gonna combine names it may as well be grandma's.  I should say I am not fond of 2 mn's  so Emily mae wont work.

Re: MN ? AGAIN sorry

  • What about Emmie?  It's not a complete mixture of the two but I think it would work.

Emma, Maily/Mailey/etc, Milly, Emmie, Emme... any of those work?

I think Lauren Emmie or Lauren Mailey or Lauren Milly all sound pretty ok.  Emmie is probably my favorite (good work, PP!).

     Emmie is my favorite, too:)
