1st Trimester

suntanning

Is it ok to lay out in the sun at 4 weeks? I dont want to cook my little one - I know sounds stupid, but hey I dont know??

Re: suntanning

  • You really shouldn't be laying in the sun to tan anyway.  You are exposing yourself to ultraviolet radiation that can cause skin cancer.

If you're going to be outside, you need to make sure you apply sunscreen once an hour, and be sure to stay well hydrated.

  • Ditto pp.  I use fake tanning lotion daily to achieve my 'glow'.  Also, I've heard that in your first trimester you shouldn't get overheated.  I would just use sunscreen & limit your time directly in the sun to be on the safe side..

  • As long as you don't sit out too long.  If you start feeling hot, time get inside.

Ditto. I laid out all through out my 1st and 2nd tri (with sunscreen) and as long as I didn't stay  too long and didn't let myself get too hot it was fine
