My Dad sent us this singing alligator...

at Christmas for Peanut as his gift.  The previous post about shopping cart seat belts with our little escape artists and Jenfaries comment got me thinking about this again.  We aren't close anymore thanks to Step Mom from H*** and they didn't acknowledge the baby at all until Christmas (he was 6 months). 

So at Christmas he sends a little stuffed gator with a Florida Gator outfit on & it sings the fight song really loud.  I KNOW he chose it as an obnoxious gift as this is a running thing in my family, but I was happy to report back to the family that Peanut LOVES it and I got through my first solo shopping trips by playing it up & down each aisle (unfortunately for anyone in the grocery section of Target, ha!).  It was a sad day when we found out there isn't a way to replace the batteries.  I need to Google & see if I can purchase a replacement...

Oh wow, being the Alabama fan that I am, I'm not sure I could have done that, even for my baby.
