Should I continue introducing solids while on antibiotics?

Some of you may have seen my post yesterday about Stella coughing to the point of choking.  Went to the pedi, turns out she has a sinus infection and all that drainage is causing the choking.  Anyway, she is on antibiotics for the next 10 days.  Should I continue introducing new solids, or just take a break for awhile?  Maybe they don't have anything to do with each other, but I just didn't know if I should put too much new stuff into her system at one time.

Re: Should I continue introducing solids while on antibiotics?

  • I would wait and just feed her the solids you know she already tolerates, otherwise there might be some confusion about if she's reacting to a new food or the antibiotic or just having a normal reaction from the antibiotic.  Sorry she's been so sick, sounds miserable!  Good luck!

  • I wouldn't introduce anything she hasn't already had incase she has some sort of reaction.  You won't know if it's antibiotics or the new food.  I would continue her regular schedule though & any food she has already had
