Has anyone else been having bad gas pains???? Be honest... I know I can't be alone. I don't know if I ate something yesterday that made it worse or what. I can't seem to really find much relief. I have a list of medications I can take, but so far, no relief. Phazyme (I think that's how it's spelled) is on the list, but I've never tried it before. Has anything helped you if you have suffered too?
I joked with my DH that a war is being fought in my stomach and no one is winning so far....

I've been ok with gas. I eat a TON of fruit though, and drink a lot of water. I think it's the only things keeping me regular. I had terrible constipation after breaking my leg and being on narcotics. I can't imagine going through that again, so I keep it up with the fruit and fruit juice. And some V8. The one day I did have terrible pain, it was slight constipation and once I....cleared things out I was better. Hope you get some relief soon.
Sometimes a wamr bath can help a bit.
We have named my gas Phyllis, the Phantom Goose.
If there were a gas contest between me and DH, I'd end him first round.
Mine have gotten a lot better, I increased my fiber intake by eating a high fiber oatmeal every day and I try not to eat close to bed time. I used to have gas pain so bad it kept me up at night. I hope you find some relief soon.
Oh, also, I recently read that for some people, TUMS make gas worse!
Thanks everyone for speaking up and although I'm glad I'm not the only one, it really sucks for all of us!
My problem is, it won't really come OUT. If it would, I know I'd feel better. I am also on Zofran, which has made me constipated some, but I've been taking something for that, and it has helped. I have had bloated days, but nothing like what I've felt like yesterday and today. Yesterday I went back and forth from lying on my stomach on the bed and DH rubbing my stomach.
Thanks for the heads up about the Tums...I'll stay away from those. I tried nasty Maylox too because it was on my list, and it did nothing. I did drink some coffee, which I used to love, but sadly currently hate, which helped get things moving, but I'm still just totally uncomfortable. I'm also guessing that this is not something that's going to go away, so I hope I can find something that will help me manage!
I had the same problems and once I woke myself up because of how bad it smelled. I started taking probiotics 2 weeks ago, twice a day and that really helps. Ahh the many charms of pregnancy.
I thought about fiber pills or something like that. I have never been diagnosed with IBS, but my mom has and I have a lot of her symptoms, and have for years. I didn't think there was much they could do for it, so I never had any testing done (colonoscopy, or any of that). I've just always dealt with it.
There are certain fiber things I've tried to eat that hurt my stomach so bad, I have to be careful about those. I know that fruit would help, but I'm still in that funk, where it doesn't appeal to me. I have been trying to drink more water though.
As much as men enjoy doing it--NO it shouldn't hurt that bad lol!
I tried peppermint tea last night because I read online that it helped, but I don't really feel like it did. I may give it another try. I have a hard time drinking hot tea without putting a ton of sugar in it and ruining it haha.
