Our 2 month old is now consistently sleeping through the night (yay!), so we are getting ready to move him to his own room/crib. We are trying to decide which type of monitor and then which one exactly we should get...His room is right next to ours, so I'm really not worried about hearing him if he happened to be crying at night. My husband wants to get one of the Angelcare monitors, but I dont know...I am kindof leaning towards the video one so we can see what he is doing without having to go in there.
Any suggestions...video, audio, or motion sensor and if so which one???
Thanks for the help
Re: Monitor Help
We got the Graco monitor and its fine but it was $89 and for a little bit more we could've gotten the Angelcare, and I wish that we had! Just because I think it would give me peace of mind...especially now that she's STTN.
A video monitor is great but it can't tell you if LO is still breathing, ya know?
I second the Summer Infant Slim & Secure Handheld!
IT ROCKS! No static ever, crystal clear image of baby --and has "night vision" so it saves you a trip to the baby's room if you just want to peek in to see how LO is doing. Worth the $$, plus if you have another baby, all you have to do is add a 2nd camera and this monitor will have a split screen so you can see both kids.
Ditto summer infant hand held. (I actually CAN see her breathing). I wanted an Angel Care, but would have been a total waste as DD makes almost constant movements in her sleep.
I can't express how much I like having her on video - sometimes she'll make noises and I can just grab that sucker and confirm that she's not really awake yet and avoid going to her room and possibly waking her up too early.
DD naps in her crib, so the handheld is good for us. I like being able to walk around and see her at the push of a button.
