Totally cat and dog proof, easy to install too (and removeable/repositionable as needed) and easy to operate with only one hand free, in the middle of the night when you're sleep deprived!
Oh, how I wish! My fat one could never, but my little one would have noooo trouble with this! She can jump from a box about 2 feet off the ground to the top of the entertainment center, which is about 7 feet off the ground. Little stinker! I've pretty much given up on keeping her out, although I an training her to no go on the baby's things by covering them in aluminum foil (I read that cats hate that!) until he comes.

Haha...I actually have no doubt my cats can jump to the 40+ inch height of this gate. I'm thinking they may not bother once they realize that it's a sheer drop on the other side--no flat surface to jump up to. I just like the fact that this gate only has vertical bars. No grid or criss-cross-type bars for them to actually climb.

That's exactly why we got it. Also, once Libby is mobile she won't be able to climb it either.

That's a good point, though!
