Exhausted? Is Anything Helping?

I have been so exhausted lately. Since I hit the 8 month mark, I am always tired. Is anyone else feeling this way? Is there anything you have done to help get your energy back?

  • UGH! I wish I had help for you. I thought I was tired before, but I just realized in the past week that it gets worse. The only thing that I can offer is keep eating well. I eat many times throughout the day and I don't eat alot. That way I have some energy and I'm not miserable because I ate too much. GL!
  • I feel like I need a nap at the top of the stairs to help me get into my bed at night LOL. I hope this doesn't last.

  • Did you doc tell u that your iron level was low? I am slightly anemic, so I'm now taking iron tabs and trying to increase my intake of red meat.  I  hope you feel better soon.

     I hope it gets better for you. I now get woke up everytime I have a BH because I get aweful reflux with it. Then when the contraction is done it's like an immediate sigh of relief. Crazy things the body endures. Doesn't seem fair sometimes. 

  • I force myself to the gym... as soon as I get moving I feel so much better  :-) It's the only thing that I find can keep my energy levels up!
  • I found out I was anemic too - I take liquid iron supplements from my naturopath in addition to the regular iron in my prenatal. Those help HUGE - it's almost like a caffeine rush when I take them...and the best part is that they don't effect your digestive system for some reason! Not sure where you could buy them in the stores though...?

  • I am exhausted too.  All the time.  I could quite litterally spend all day in bed.  I've been like this for two weeks.  It scares me because I have a long way to go and can't seem to find anything to help.

    Yesterday I actually spent most of the day in bed.  I felt better for it then, but it didn't help today!

    Sadly, I'm not anemic.  I say sadly because I was hoping for something that would help!  I turn to caffeine when I'm desperate.

  • Uhm, taking 2-3 hour naps everyday helps.  But I am on maternity leave.

    Try a regular coke.  That usually puts some pep in my step!  I know, its bad, but it helps.

  • im always tired too.  i am also anemic and take iron pills.  they dont help with my energy level.  im the worst pg woman in the world, but mountain dew helps sometimes.

  • Now is probably not the time to start working out, but that always works for me. Try a walk around the block. The fresh air and sunshine really make a world of difference for me!
  • I was hardly making it 5 pm without going to bed. Turned out I was very anemic. Started on iron and feel much, much better.

    Also, I try to get outside daily and spend some time in the sun. Take a walk. I think that always gives me a little boost of energy.
