tell me if I'm missing something

We are pretty sure we've got names picked out.  We've checked the initials, tried to think of mean little kid nicknames.  I think they can work for a little kid but also an adult.  No wacky spellings.  They are somewhat popular names but I don't think there will be 14 of them in the same class (I'm a Sarah so that's a concern)  Is there something I'm missing with these names that will drive my child nuts for a lifetime because we stuck them with this name?

Last name starts rhymes with Parish

(Violet is DH's grandma's name.  My dad died when I was young - he was Michael.  My stepdad since the age of 5 is John, just John.  I like the idea of honoring them both but by going with Jonathan we won't have 2 Johns running around.  Oh, and we just like Madelyn)

There may not be 14 Madelyns, but there will probably be many girls with the nn Maddie from all the spellings and Madison. Just a thought.

They are great names - love them. Madelyn is common, though. Her initials would be MVP, which is cute especially if she would play sports.

Love them both!!  Congrats on picking a name.  We are also honoring family members with the name we picked out for our son.

Not so much a fan of that spelling of Madeleine, but I love all the names. I think this is a first for me. I was just talking about the name, Violet with my guy and how much I like the name. Jonathan has been a childhood favorite for a long time.

This exactly.  They seem normal to me also but I just want to make sure I'm not missing something completely obvious.  It just seems like when you've been looking at names for awhile you can get tunnel vision so I wanted a fresh perspective.

I agree that Madelyn may not be overly popular, but Maddie is. I'm not sure if you want her to go by Maddie though. I love your boy name.
