1st Trimester

5 weeks pregnant.

I am five weeks pregnant after m/c in December. I am so paranoid something is going to go wrong. Before I got my BFP, I sprayed our kitchen with Ortho Home Defense Insecticide and now I am so afraid that it's going to hurt our baby. I can't find anything reassuring on the internet- Just terrifying things about neural tube development and the harmful affects of pesticides. I wish I could go back and undo that.

I'm prretty sure that I read that before you know you are pregnant, the placenta isn't attached, so the baby couldn't have ingested any fumes or anything. It isn't until after 4 weeks or so that it starts to matter. Relax! There's nothing you can do about it now, so stay positive!  That's the best thing you can do for your baby!

  • Congratulations!  I am sorry for your loss in December.  I constantly worry as well.  Stay away from the internet!!!!  Trust me!  This will become your worst enemy.  I have learned that.  I look up things to try to make me feel better and then I only feel worse and get paranoid.  Good luck!  Wishing you a h&h 9 months.

This. I know it's hard but try not to over think it. It's done and over with and the mulling over it will not change that fact.
