My mother and I are having a debate on if I need a second baby monitor to keep the existing on in DD1's room. She will be a smidge over a year when this one is born, and I cant see myself being comfortable with not having a monitor in her room that young. Their rooms are next to each other. Did you need two?
Re: Baby monitor
Yes, I like having a monitor for each child. DS is 19 months and though his room isn't far from ours, I just feel safer knowing I can hear him easily.
I had trouble with two monitors interfering, though. They'd pick up sounds from both rooms and it was hella annoying. I ended up buying DD a digital monitor (DS's is analog) and that solved the problem.
