Two Under 2

Baby monitor

My mother and I are having a debate on if I need a second baby monitor to keep the existing on in DD1's room.  She will be a smidge over a year when this one is born, and I cant see myself being comfortable with not having a monitor in her room that young.  Their rooms are next to each other.  Did you need two?

Re: Baby monitor

  • hehehe I just read a post 4 down about how this is one of the most commonly asked questions on this board, but ive never seen it before...so I apologize. :)
  • Yes, I like having a monitor for each child.  DS is 19 months and though his room isn't far from ours, I just feel safer knowing I can hear him easily.

I had trouble with two monitors interfering, though.  They'd pick up sounds from both rooms and it was hella annoying.  I ended up buying DD a digital monitor (DS's is analog) and that solved the problem.

  • I have a monitor for both.  Mainly because the boys are on different levels.  DS2 had a bad cold and lost his voice so I had a hard time hearing him.  I have 2 different brand of monitors and they are not interfering with each other.
