So i'm pretty upset at the state of NC (nbr)

It's been almost a month and a half since I filed our taxes. I kind of feel ripped off cause I made the same amount of money as I did last year and DH & I got married & had a baby last year and we pretty much got back the same amount of refund as we did the year before! I don't really know how all the tax stuff goes and I know we filed jointly vs separate and maybe that has something to do with it and different income brackets and all but I thought there was suppose to be this big tax credit for those who got married and had babies in 2009???

But that is not why I am upset. We received our Federal refund but have not yet received our state so I called our CPA to see what is going on and she told me that the state is broke and they are not issuing refunds at this time? WTH? I have never heard of that before! So what does this mean? Did we just lose out on our money or do they plan to give it to us next year or what? This is just my luck!!!!!
