Did you do the basics like milk, cheese, yogurt, icecream, etc? Or do you look at ingredients in each thing you eat? I had to cut out dairy last week for LO but they want me to continue with it. Also starting DS on zantac. Advice?
I think it depends on the severity of the symptoms and your doc's advice. I only had to cut out the basics and after only a week of that pedi rechecked his stool and found no signs of blood. So, cutting out obvious dairy was enough for DS.
Cutting the obvious worked mostly for me, although if I eat too much milk chocolate, DS reacts to that too. I also stay away from creamy sauces, cream of ___ soups, and things made with lots of butter.
I only had to cut out main dairy like milk, cheese, yogurt, sour cream, etc. I could have other things that had limited dairy products in them without it bothering dd.
