  • I would've screamed...and then passed out.  thank god we dont get those in jersey!
  • yikes!  DH would have made me kill it!!
  • When DH and I live in our apartment(in Florida) there was a spider just like that, that showed up. I sat on the couch scared out of my mind until DH got home. I didn't even move to go to the bathroom.

I live in Colorado now and we don't have spiders that big here.

I went and visited my family and friends in March and while I was there my friend had two huge spiders in her house of course I was the one that found them.

    LMAO

My DH is a big, fat wuss when it comes to spiders.  I have to kill them.  There was one coming off the ceiling fan sorta close to DD.  He actually jumped off the couch and clapped it to death.  I was so shocked and proud!  Then, he opened his hands to see the aftermath.  He shivered and brushed his hands 100 mph to get the spider and guts off.  So much for bravery.

  • I've lived in alabama all my life, and I had never seen spiders this big until recently. I think they're called wolf spiders, and supposedly are harmless...but sooooo creepy! I told Eric that it looked like a halloween decoration!

Really?  We have them in IN.  My parents live in the country, & get them like crazy in the fall.  Your's is pretty big, but they aren't small by any means.  They're fast, too! EEK!

Just a lil FYI:  Hairspray does not kill these suckers.  It just peeves them off.  Learned that one the hard way.

  • Heh.   We found one of those bad boys in a friend's classroom.   I shot it with a HUGE rubber band, trying to get it out of the peak in the high ceiling.   I s*** you not when I say that I hit it, and the spider just wiped its mouth, as if to say "bring it on!"

FWIW, I heard they feed on roaches.   Hooray spiders!

  • UGH - I find these in my basement all the time.
  • You are making me less and less excited to move to Alabama.
