AW, and does this count as early reading?

Daniel sat down with one of his books today, pointed out a word, and told me, "Green, Mommy!  That spells green.  G R E E N."  And he was right.

Now, DH and I have both spelled words out with him in the past in other books, but not in this book.  This one he did all by himself.

What do you think:  Reading, or memorization from another source where he saw that word?  Or does that count as reading too?

Either way, I'm pretty darned proud of him.

reading is nothing more than memorization (of letters, sounds, words, whatever). That is AWESOME!
