I went to the hospital today.

I woke up with spotting and cramping.  No clots, but it was bright red.  The ER did a sono and ran some blood tests, and the results were inconclusive.  The doc couldn't confirm a MC, but also said that it was too early to see a heartbeat so the lack of one didn't mean anything. My hormone levels were in the 4-5 week range, which was also within normal limits.  So he told me to spend the weekend resting and not carrying DD, and see what happens.  Said there were a million reasons I could be bleeding, and it doesn't necessarily mean a MC.

That being said, the spotting and cramping have continued all day.  To be honest, I'm not that optimistic.  Please say a prayer for me.  Thank you.

Try to stay optimistic! I had a similar instance happen this week. On Wednesday I noticed red blood when I wiped! Of course the tears came, I called my doctor, and left work.  When I got home, just like a period....a went to the bathroom and as a peed, a rush of blood came out. I went to the doctor and she did say I had bleeding in my cervix. I had a bit of cramping but after that day, I haven't seen too much blood. I just did my blood tests so I have to wait to next week to find out the results.  I will keep you in my prayers.

 

I talked to a friend of mine, she said when she was five weeks, she bleed and a clot came out....and everything turned out fine!!! So stay positive!!!

This made me feel soooo much better.  Thank you!  I'm feeling a lot more calm today.  A nurse at the hospital told my mom that she bled so much in her first pregnancy that she didn't even figure out she was PG until she was 4 months in.  She thought she was having periods!  That made me feel encouraged.

I am dealing with the same thing you are currently.  I went to ER on Thursday after I noticed a few spots with some red mixed in.  They did all the same things but couldn't find a HB but said it might be too early.  Currently I'm on pelvic rest until I see the DR.  We are trying to remain positive and I know its hard.  It's all I am thinking about as I have been laying for the past 2 days.  So I will keep you in my T & P's and keep those feet up!
