So I've been trying different things to try to establish a bedtime routine that LO likes and so far everything has been a huge fail. He fights going to sleep for some reason at bedtime...he falls asleep just fine all day, but as soon as we try to put him to sleep for bedtime he acts crazy! I've tried every combo of eating, nursing, bathing, rocking and nothing works...typically we get him to sleep, then he wakes up 10 minutes later, we rock him to sleep again, he wakes up again, and this cycle goes on for at least an hour and sometimes he freaks out to the point where he's screaming inconsolably and I have to nurse him again to get him to calm down. This part scares me because I don't know what we are going to do if for some reason I can't BF anymore

Any advice would be great! Oh and he hates white noise, I've tried that too
Re: Bedtime is a nightmare!
does he sleep in the crib both during the day and at night or does he sleep somewhere else for naps? Maybe he just doesn't like being in his crib or wants to be on an incline?
Are you swaddling?
watch this:
works (most of the time) for us.?
Try swaddling! Baby is probably so overtired that he is fighting bedtime. Did you know babies up till 1 month only have a awake time of 50 mins..that's open eyes to shut eyes. Babies 1month-3 have a 1hour- 1 hour 15 min awake time. If you don't get them asleep before this time...they usually are overtired and fight to fall asleep...or they wake up early from their nap! ( All this is from Baby whisperer).
When my daughter fights bedtime, I usually swaddle her, lay her down in her bassinet and put a stool beside it, I lay her on her side and gently rub her back and whisper" shhh" in her ear. She calms right down and her eyes start to drift....but don't leave the room to quickly..cause they might pop out of it and start crying again. So stop patting and watch to see if they are asleep...if they start fussing again...keep patting and shhhing untill they are fast asleep! Works everytime for us!!
Good luck:)
