Introduction and Questions!

Good morning ladies!

 My husband and I found out we are expecting, and although Im not sure exactly how far along I am (we have a doctors appt next Tuesday) after reading posts and comparing symptoms I think I could be around 6-7 weeks -- although that is a complete guess! These boards have been so helpful, so thank you for all your insight!

My questions are....we live in Dallas (specifically Kessler Park -North Oakcliff) and I am starting to do some research on hospitals and peditricians.  My OBGYN delivers at Methodist so that may be my only option for delivery as I REALLY like her and don't want to change at this point....any thoughts on delivering at Methodist? Any recomendations for peditrician in the Dallas area? Thanks!

Welcome and congrats on your pregnancy. I haven't started looking for a new OB yet and we use a pedi outside of OC so I'm no help there. I know there are a few OC moms who post on https://www.dfwareamoms.com/. You might try posting there to get more responses. Also you can join https://www.recpta.org/ even though you haven't delivered and then you can post on their Yahoo group. You will gets lots of OC specific advise from other RECPTA members even if you don't attend any of the meetings.

Thanks for the info! We are definitely not limiting our pedi search to Oak Cliff but just wanted a point of reference since it seems alot of moms-to be seem to be in the North Dallas area! Thanks again for the information and have a great day!

Congrats & welcome!  I live in Old East Dallas and will be delivering for the 2nd time at Baylor in exactly one month! 

Our pediatrician is Stefanie Spaeth at Baylor Pediatric center.  Just saw her today for DS' 2-yr well checkup.  Here's their web site:

I delivered at Dallas Presby so I don't know anything about Methodist but we use Dr. Linderman at Inwood Pediatrics in Dallas.

Congrats! I'm a soon to be OC mom myself (Winnetka Heights). I am delivering at Dallas Presby and Dr. Blewitt is my OB. We have been so happy so far.

Also, I recently started a mini OC mom's group. None of us have had our babies yet, so if you're interested in getting together, send me an email.
