Success after IF

How to you stop DC from screaming?

Bennett has found his voice and now screams bloody murder if I stop him from doing something he wants to do or if I take something away. He is doing it out in public now :( I swear all he did yesterday afternoon was scream his head off.

I'm not liking this new version of my normally sweet boy!

Does your child do this? If so, how do you react? Ignore? Stern "no"?

  • I just posted what we do in the toddler Mamma check in post below.

    It's tough stuff, huh?

    Huge hugs.

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

  • Oh wow! I see the same discussion is going on in that post. Thanks! And thanks for the tip. I'm definitely going to try your technique.

  • And the cool part is now that they're older when they start to get upset I see them start to do "blow" without me even saying a word.

They've actually learned to recognize when they're getting upset and then take action to try to calm down!

Not saying we don't have screaming fits but it's getting better and I don't always have to be the one to talk them down.
