how did the eval go today? i always get really nervous too & it always ends up better than I expect. hoping it went well today & they told you how amazing your beautiful DD is!
It went pretty well with not many suprises. She still qualifies for EI in one possibly 2 areas. She had to be 2 months delayed to qualify and scored at 6 months for expresive language. Most catagories she scored at 7 months and in 2 areas she scored at 9 months. She was above her age group in receptive language and I forget the other section she scored at 9 months. The one section they were not sure on was her large motor skills since she didn't put her arm out when they pushed her when sitting but she didn't budge at all so they didn't know if she just didn't put her arm out because she didn't have to. If she doesn't get points for that then she qualifies for EI in gross motor as well. We will see when we get the report.
So now we need to decide what to do since she does qualify but would not get services per se for the speech (just our case worker visit once per week) since they don't do speech therapy this early.
Ella was also really good for the whole thing. She has been having major stranger anxiety of late and we were afraid she wouldn't do anything for them but she sat up the whole time and played their games. She is quite a charmer when in the mood so she was giving all sorts of smiles. They kept telling us that she should be on a gerber comercial. All in all it went well and I wasn't too stress. It was better than the anticipation as usual. Sorry that was so long. Thanks for checking in!
