Success after IF

mrsolenski

So, tell me about egg dying.  Did you do anything special, other than put him in a onesie you don't care about?  I want to do it, but I'm nervous for some reason.  Talk me into it...

Re: mrsolenski

  • I so did not see this post yesterday. Oops. Basically we lined our kitchen table with lots of newspaper about 2-3 layers thick. Then we made up the egg dye ourselves. Once we started to dye we sat Hayden on the table keeping a good grip on him so he couldn't crawl and get to the cups that were out of his reach. He loved playing with the wire egg dyer so while we waited, we let him chew on it. Once we were done and decided to let him play, on top of the newspaper, we put several old kitchen towels so that way when he spilled the dye, it wouldn't get onto the table. Once we were done, we took him to the bath right away and cleaned him up. If you are prepared for mess, then it is fun and not stressful. Just have fun with it and remember that it is just like a food dye and it will clean up pretty easily.
