To the other SAHMs, do your kids do this, too??
Days DH is off work, DS naps 3 hours. Every time. Allllll the other days of the week when it's just me at home, he's been waking up after 1.5 hours, tops. I leave him in there until the 2 hour mark unless he starts crying, since going in earlier usually means he's grumpy and sometimes won't come to me and get out of the crib anyway, but DAMN. How does he know, and why does he not nap for me as well as he does for DH? We're equally active on all days (walk and/or park pretty much every morning) so it's not that daddy tires him out.
Gah! I want 3 hour naps! I think DH thinks I exaggerate how tiring my days can be because he gets 3 hour naps on his days off.
Part vent, part wondering if there's some key to the no-long-naps-for-mommy mystery. Anyone?
Re: how do they KNOW?
::butting in since I'm not a SAHM:::
Both of my kids get up 2 hours earlier on my days off. DH and the kids sleep in on the days I work, but never when I'm off. How do they know???
I think its pretty obvious that A doesn't like J. That's why he tries to sleep longer.
For example, if I were there, he would sleep for like .5 seconds and then start wailing so he can spend more time with me.
He loves you more and wants to spend more time with his mommy.
Hahaha, that's what I'd tell myself if my LO did that to me. I can see how it would make you crazy.

Baby C does this, too, on Sundays! Well, only it's naps, not sleeping in. He'll take a nap all the way until the second service starts, and then we can't go.
Baby C also sleeps great when DH is the one in charge for a day. I went on an overnight girls' trip, and Baby C slept like a dream the whole time! I came back and it all fell to pieces. It's so weird that they KNOW!
