Kind of gross question

So I had a 2nd degree tear when I delivered DS, and they repaired it with dissolvable stitches (or so I thought).  It's now been almost 6 weeks, and just this past week when I wipe after peeing, I sometimes see little pieces of stitches, like tiny little threads!!!   Shouldn't they have dissolved, and not be coming out?  I have my 6 wk postpartum appt next Tues and I'll be sure to ask, but just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else?

I know this is isn't the same, but I had dissolvable stitches when I got my wisdom teeth pulled.  They didn't completely dissolve, just to the point where they would get weak, break and fall out.  Perhaps that's what your experiencing?

In most dissolvable stitches, the part in your skin dissolves and the rest falls out. Sounds like that is what's happening to you

Yes, this happened to me.  Just thank your lucky stars they are coming out now.  Mine came out too early.

Same thing here... I had my 6 week PP appointment yesterday and was told all is well.
