My DH (1 month) falls asleep during tummy time. Is it okay if I let her sleep if I supervise her carefully and stay right near her? We are usually in our bed (no blankets around, just on the sheet) or on a tummy time mat.
I totally let him sleep on his tummy during the day when I can watch him. I don't stress about SIDS as much as others do, though, I guess, after I crunched the numbers.
Yep. DS loves to nap on his belly. Like others, I will only let him if we're around to check on him all the time- but I will not let him do it on our bed even without blankets. It's just too soft. Our couch, his crib, sure.
(And as for the couch, I think that's going to be nixed soon. He's starting to scoot now. And I just KNOW the day I turn my back for a moment he'll either roll off or scoot off the couch and I'll never forgive myself, even if he was perfectly fine.)
I've let DS nap on his tummy a few times now. I'm always nearby to supervise, plus we have an audio/video monitor so I can stare directly at him the whole time if I'm in another room. He sleeps great on his tummy but he goes on his back (swaddled) to sleep at night while we're sleeping.

I do this as well...she sleeps SO much better on her tummy!
